When website and technology consulting helps

This service is for people who are not technical and do not want to become technical: a shop going online, a manufacturer that needs a proper B2B website, a coaching institute, a clinic, or a startup with an idea and a limited budget. What they need is someone who understands the options to lay them out honestly. Typical questions include:

Signs it is worth getting advice first

A short piece of independent advice costs far less than a website that has to be rebuilt a year later. It is worth pausing before you sign if any of these sound familiar:

• Two quotes for the same website are wildly different and you cannot tell why.
• The developer plans to register your domain or host the site on their own account.
• You are being sold a mobile app when a fast mobile website might do the job.
• Your current site cannot be edited without calling the person who built it.
• You are about to pay yearly for themes, plugins or apps and are not sure what each one does.
• You are moving from one platform to another and worry about losing the Google traffic you already have.

Everything is written down, so you can share it with a partner, an investor or the developer you finally hire, and refer back to it months later. The document typically covers:

Independent advice, including when you do not need us

Because GOSHU Digital also builds websites, you should know where our interests lie. If we recommend something we could build for you, we say so plainly, and the roadmap is yours to hand to any developer. Sometimes the right answer is a ready-made Shopify plan you set up yourself, or a few fixes to the site you already have. When that is the case, we tell you.
